As a leading reinsurer, we are committed to supporting research and providing solutions to significant issues facing our industry and the world. Our work is wide ranging, but we are particularly focusing on the following key areas:
Climate - We are committed to understanding Climate – what it means for risk, our Oceans, how it is changing and how we can help our clients and brokers understand the impact on their businesses. We believe AXA is one of the few re/insurance companies in a position to be the first place Governments, Regulators and Customers turn for guidance about mitigating risk and a company of which employees are proud to be a part.
Making a Market – with most of the world’s risk remaining uncovered we will build on our climate work to provide solutions to Governments and others to help reduce the difference between economic and insured loss – what is commonly known as the protection gap.
Building Back Better – getting communities touched by disaster back on their feet and in a better position is in our sights. We aim to partner with others and, more importantly, include contract terms and conditions to make it part of our product. This is particularly important in our Public Sector Partnership initiatives.
Building Better Before – helping governments to understand what good and bad disaster management looks like, including better planning regulations, investing and encouraging resilience, disaster planning, and collaborating with the insurance industry to increase insurance penetration levels.
We will continue to share our work in these areas via this page so we encourage you to visit it often and add it to your favorites.
