AXA XL strengthens alternative risk transfer capabilities with Global CUO appointment

AXA XL today announced the appointment of Jiten Halai as Global Chief Underwriting Officer, Structured Risk Solutions.
In this role, Mr. Halai will lead the global underwriting strategy for Structured Risk Solutions, further advancing AXA XL’s ability to deliver innovative, non-traditional insurance solutions for corporate clients and captives. He will work closely with regional underwriting teams to expand AXA XL’s alternative risk transfer capabilities worldwide.

AXA XL’s Structured Risk Solutions team provides non-traditional insurance and reinsurance solutions for corporate clients and captives, including bespoke, multi-line and multi-year risk transfer structures and performance insurance for emerging technologies. The team supports clients globally in managing complex risks and unlocking new opportunities through innovative risk solutions.
Mr. Halai brings over 15 years of experience in insurance and financial services. He joined AXA XL in 2019 and most recently served as Head of Structured Risk Solutions, UK & Lloyd’s. Prior to AXA XL, he held actuarial roles at Fidelis, Brit Insurance, ArgoGlobal and Catlin.
