AXA XL appoints Markus Posberg as Chief Underwriting Officer Property Construction and Energy for APAC and Europe

AXA XL today announced the appointment of Markus Posberg as Chief Underwriting Officer, Property, Construction & Energy for APAC & Europe. He will be based in Cologne, Germany.

In his new role, Mr. Posberg will oversee the underwriting strategy for Property, Construction & Energy across Europe, Asia and Australia.

A Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII), Mr. Posberg has more than 30 years’ experience in commercial property, construction and energy insurance. He joined AXA Corporate Solutions in 2018 and has served as Head of Underwriting for Germany since 2021, with responsibility for the German Property, Construction and Energy portfolio. Before joining AXA Corporate Solutions, he held senior underwriting and leadership roles at QBE, MONTAN and HDI.
