Future Energy Insurance Insights Report 2026

This global, annual survey of energy business leaders has revealed a significant shift in how they perceive and engage with insurers, with 86% now viewing them as strategic partners and advisers throughout the lifecycle of their energy projects, up from 56% a year ago.

More than half (52%) expect oil and gas to remain part of the future energy mix to meet rising global electricity demand - nearly double last year’s 28%. Cybersecurity is a top concern for half of the organizations, highlighting the importance of digital risk mitigation in digitalized energy infrastructure, with operational risks and regulatory risks close behind.
