We are here for you. Thanks to our strong technical infrastructure, we continue to conduct business and provide our claims service with minimal disruption. We understand you may have questions about what we are doing for you during the COVID-19 emergency and we hope this message answers some of your questions.

AXA XL is following all state regulatory mandates in connection with the treatment of our policyholders during the COVID-19 emergency. Where no mandates have been imposed, we are working to find ways to support you, our policyholders, where we can.

These accommodations may include being eligible for an extended grace period for premium payments, waiver of late payment fees, short-term extensions to current policies not being renewed, and other ways to prevent a policy cancellation due to non-payment of premium.

Below are five of the most frequently asked questions:

1. Will you defer premium? Are you able to extend current payment terms? What is your approach to notice of cancellations due to non-payment of premiums? If required, are you providing any flexible payment options?
We are sensitive to the challenges that some of our clients are facing. We stand ready to consider tailored solutions on a case-by-case basis including short-term flexibility in the payment of premium.

2. My policy is premium financed, what do I do now?
We suggest contacting your premium finance company directly and your producer, to explain what financial hardships you are facing and inquiring as to what solutions they may have available.

3. Would you be willing to adjust premium mid-term if our sales drop or payroll is reduced during the COVID-19 emergency?
More information would be required to answer this question. Again, we are sensitive to your situation, and stand ready to work on solutions with your producer and you.

4. Are you automatically extending policies that are coming up for renewal?
Extensions are being handled on a case-by-case basis. Our approach will also be guided by mandates from relevant regulators.

5. What happens if I am required to have a Loss Control inspection?
We may be unable to visit our policyholders in person; our risk engineers and loss prevention specialists are making themselves available to you and underwriters. During the underwriting process, we’ll look to leverage other available resources where possible.
If you are unable to meet a loss control recommendation due to Covid-19 reasons prior to the effective date of the policy, please contact us and we will work to develop suitable alternatives or potentially give an extension of time in which to meet the required conditions.
