Our partnership with the Royal Academy of Arts (RA) is dedicated to supporting artists and emerging talent, helping to showcase the diversity of contemporary art. As part of this collaboration, we established the AXA Art Prize UK, an award that recognises outstanding work displayed in the RA’s Summer Exhibition.
Each year, the AXA Art Prize UK awards £10,000 to an exceptional artist whose work exemplifies skill and originality. The winning piece is showcased at our Summer Exhibition Reception, an event attended by our broking partners, clients, coverholders, and friends, which celebrates creativity and artistic growth.
The 2025 AXA Art Prize UK was awarded to Miho Sato for her striking artwork, titled "Windy Day 2", selected from the Royal Academy of Arts 2025 Summer Exhibition. Ms. Sato’s work captivated the judges with its dynamic portrayal of movement and a unique interpretation of the interplay between nature and human experience. The judging panel featured Jennifer Schipf – Global Chief Underwriting Officer for Fine Art & Specie at AXA XL, Oona Grimes – Royal Academician, and Richard Kirwan – Artist and Senior Lecturer at the RA Schools.
