The AXA Art Prize US is pleased to announce our 2025 winners. First Prize has been awarded to Hazel Paik from Maryland Institute College of Art for her painting titled Green Sun. Second Prize has been awarded to Nicole Estelle Brown also of Maryland Institute College of Art for her mixed media piece, Bodily Sacrifice: Operation VA Edition. Both artists were selected by Prize Jurors, Ali Banisadr and David Antonio Cruz alongside AXA XL's Jennifer Schipf. Honorable mentions have also been awarded to Elizabeth Bizianes of Savannah College of Art and Design for No Kidding, Serena Viola Corson of Louisiana State University for Mossy Maenads, and Calvin Guo from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago for Rubble.

First Prize

Second Prize

Nicole Estelle Brown, Maryland Institute College of Art, Bodily Sacrifice: Operation VA Edition, oil, acrylic, fabric, polymer clay, tweezers, eyelet, speaker, and aluminum on masonite and wood, 47.75 x 24 inches.

The AXA Art Prize is one of the leading student art competitions in the United States. The competition is open to any style of figurative paintings, drawings, and original printmaking created by undergraduate and graduate art students.
