XL Group’s reinsurance operations today announced the appointment of Pamela Ross to the position of Vice President, Property Facultative.
Ms. Ross is based in Singapore with responsibility for managing XL Group’s Property Facultative Reinsurance business in Asia and Australasia. She reports to Alexander Galea, Senior Vice President and Manager of XL Group’s International Property Facultative operations.
Commenting, David Watson, International Business Group Leader and President and CEO of XL Re Europe Plc, said: “Pamela’s appointment marks a significant development for our Property Facultative business and is an important component in our strategy to increase our geographical footprint.
“We are committed to providing brokers and cedents with first class service and having a Property Facultative team based in Asia is an investment in delivering on that commitment. Additionally, we will be adding to the team over the coming months.”
Mr. Watson continued: “Pamela’s experience of working with large, multinational clients as well as UK clients with multinational exposures, combined with her excellent market contacts, equips her well for this new role.”
Ms. Ross joins XL Group from Ace European Group where she held the position of London Corporate Property Underwriter from 2008 as well as having a Business Development Executive role from 2011. Prior to this she worked at Norwich Union as a commercial underwriter.
