XL Re Europe Opens Paris Underwriting Office
Le Mans (France) - November 05, 2003
Le Mans, France - 5 November 2003 - XL Re Europe, formerly known as Le Mans Ré, announced today the opening of its Paris underwriting office which will be responsible for the underwriting of non-life business in France, Belgium, and Luxemburg. The Paris office will be headed up by Mr. Jeremy Hindle who will continue to manage the property department at XL Re Europe.Philippe Rochaix, Chief Underwriting Officer of XL Re Europe, stated: "The opening of our Paris office is one of the resources implemented by XL Re Europe to promote its development in continental Europe."Mr. Hindle added: "The establishment of our Paris office enables us to provide services tailored to our French, Belgian and Luxemburg customers."Mr. Hindle started his career with XL Re in Bermuda and then joined Le Mans Ré in 1999. Before working for XL Re, he was an international underwriter at Mid Ocean Re and from 1982 to 1993, a property treaty underwriter at Swiss Reinsurance Company (UK) Ltd.
