EXTON, Pennsylvania, June 27, 2007 - XL Insurance, the global insurance operations of XL Capital Ltd (NYSE: XL), today announced the promotion of Alex Blanco to the position of Chief Underwriting Officer and head of its Design Professional group. The group is a specialized underwriting unit dedicated to providing professional liability insurance, loss prevention education and claims services to architects and engineers.
