Ronald Berler Joins XL Insurance As Global Business Development Leader For Energy

EXTON, Penn., March 28, 2006 -- David Duclos, Chief Operating Officer for XL Capital Ltd's ("XL") global insurance operations ("XL Insurance"), today announced the appointment of Ronald Berler to its business development team, reporting to Dennis Kane, XL Insurance's Chief Operating Officer for the Americas.Mr. Berler, who will be based in Hartford, Connecticut, will coordinate the worldwide delivery of XL Insurance's products and services to the global energy industry.
