Mr. Hewett joins XL Insurance from Zurich North America Insurance where he served as Executive Vice President, heading North American Domestic Surety. Prior to his tenure at Zurich, Mr. Hewett was vice president with USI Holdings and has held underwriting positions with a United States Financial and Guaranty Company. He is a graduate of Indiana University with a B.S. degree in Business and earned a Master’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Finance from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md.
Joining XL Insurance from Zurich’s Contract Surety group, Mr. Mills brings more than 20 years of surety industry experience. In addition to various senior management positions at Zurich Surety, he also held various management positions with St. Paul Surety Seaboard Surety. Mr. Mills received his B.A. in economics from Drew University in Madison, NJ.
