XL Insurance Appoints David Gallagher As Country Manager For Ireland

 — DUBLIN, Ireland - July 1, 2008 - XL Insurance, the global insurance operation of XL Capital Ltd (NYSE: XL), today announced the appointment of David Gallagher as Country Manager for Ireland.
Mr. Gallagher joined XL Insurance in 1994 and served in various marketing, sales and strategic planning roles for the Irish and UK markets. David’s most recent role included business development for Ireland, across all XL Insurance's business lines.
