Arnold Brousell named Controller of XL Financial

 — New York, June 15, 2004 - Arnold Brousell has been named Controller of the Financial Products and Services segment of XL Capital Ltd (NYSE:XL; "XL" or "the Company"), the Company announced today.
Mr. Brousell joined XL's Financial Products and Services segment in April 2004 from The MONY Group Inc. (MONY) where he was employed for the past seven years and most recently served as Chief of Accounting Officer and Controller. Prior to MONY, Mr. Brousell spent approximately 14 years in public accounting at Coopers & Lybrand, Deloitte & Touche, and KPMG, where he served clients primarily in the financial guarantee, property and casualty insurance, and property and casualty reinsurance businesses. Mr. Brousell also served as a technical accounting resource to several investment banking clients of Coopers & Lybrand.
