XL Group today announced that it has appointed Richard Jinks to establish a Facilities Centre of Excellence.
Commenting Thierry Daucourt, COO, International Property and Casualty at XL Group said: “Over recent years XL Group has expanded the Facilities it offers to include all lines of business today. Richard will lead International Property and Casualty’s Facilities Centre of Excellence in order to provide the highest standards of best practice and guidance to our underwriters and support staff. The role involves Richard identifying and converting business opportunities as well as creating the governance framework to support ongoing delivery.
“This will in turn allow us to deliver a superior service to those who have Facilities with us.” Mr. Daucourt added: “Richard has the knowledge and talent to really take our Facilities and product and service offering to the next level.”
In his new role as Facilities Centre of Excellence Manager, Richard will be responsible for establishing the Centre initially for XL Group’s International Property and Casualty business unit but will also provide support to other business units within XL as needed. In the first instance, the focus will be UK Facilities but once established, it will be expanded to the company’s other international markets.
Richard brings over 25 years of experience in insurance. He joins XL Group from AIG, where he most recently served as SME & Mid-Market Distribution Manager for the UK, focusing on the schemes and facilities market. Prior to this he served as Regional Manager, charged with leading the General Insurance operations for the Birmingham and Bristol offices. During his career Richard has worked for Bland Bankart and Willis.
