AXA XL Insurance today announced the appointment of Laura García García as Marine Underwriter, Iberia, based in Madrid. In this role, she will play a key part in the development and management of AXA XL’s Marine insurance portfolio in Spain.

José Ramón Morales, Country Manager, Iberia at AXA XL, commented: "In recent years, Spanish businesses have tripled their exports in volume, a trend that has seen them grow more reliant on the global marine industry. We are developing the team in Spain so we can support this growth and remain a partner of choice for marine insurance, for our clients and their brokers.”

José Enrique Iglesias, Underwriting Manager, Marine for Iberia at AXA XL, added: "I am delighted to welcome Laura to the team.
