With more than 30 years of experience, Stephen leads a team that offers a broad array of products to serve our clients’ evolving needs.
Stephen is our Chief Underwriting Officer for Crisis Management and Special Risks and a Managing Director on the AXA XL Leadership Council. Under his leadership, the Crisis Management and Special Risks product offering has grown to include war, terrorism and political violence, security risks, product recall, sports and leisure, contingency, media and entertainment, and title.
Before joining AXA XL in 2013, Stephen was at Hiscox, where he was instrumental in leading the terrorism market forward after September 11th. Early in his career, Stephen spent several years working in Bermuda for one of the first captive insurance startups before returning to Lloyd’s.
