Max has managed AXA XL’s construction underwriting for all markets outside of North America since 1999. He previously held several senior underwriting positions at Winterthur (later acquired by AXA XL), including a two-year post in New York developing insurance solutions alongside project finance transactions arranged by Credit Suisse First Boston. Before that, he was in charge of facultative engineering reinsurance business for Asia.

Before joining AXA, Max was based in Hong Kong for seven years with Rieter Far East Ltd, managing sales and after-sales service throughout Asia.
