Since May 2015, I've been the CUO for our International Casualty business which spans the three regions APAC, EMEA and UK/Ireland. 

I joined the company in 2008 as its Chief Underwriting Officer, Middle Markets Property & Casualty, Continental Europe & Asia. In September 2009, I was appointed CUO Property & Casualty for the Upper Middle Market Unit for "International P&C" and, in June 2011, was made a Managing Director and a member of AXA XL's Leadership Council. 

I obtained my Master of Law degree from the University of Zurich in 1988 and started work for a law firm in Zurich, before joining Winterthur Insurance Group as a legal counsel for the Aviation Underwriting Department in 1989. In 1990 I transferred to the International Division and was appointed as a Casualty Underwriter in 1991. In 1994-1996, I was based in Dallas, Texas, as a Senior Casualty Underwriter for Winterthur International, before returning to Zurich as the Head of the Liability Underwriting Unit for Western Europe. In May 1999 I joined Chubb Corporation, where he I was later appointed Underwriting and Country Manager of the Switzerland branch in Zurich. In 2001 I became a member of the Senior Management Team of Chubb Europe as European Zone Underwriting Officer in the Casualty Underwriting Department, with operations in 12 countries across Europe.
